We have decades of ongoing references from our families all around the world from Vancouver B.C Canada, Calgary, Edmonton Alberta to as far away as Toronto, Miami, Palm Springs, Italy and Singapore.
Hi Corinne & Mike, Just wanted to send some cute photos & videos of little Pickle! She is settling in well and seems very happy, curious and playful. Continuing to reward her terrific potty training behaviours and also rewarding her calm behaviour while assisting her to continue learning bite inhibition since she’s at that “teethe on everything” stage. She is so well behaved and only woke up twice in the night last night!
She has seemed very excited about having a new big sister and has been very excited yet submissive towards our senior Shih Tzu. So far the transition has been going very smoothly and my husband Alex & I are just thrilled to have this sweet little girl in the family now. She saw our trusted family vet yesterday and he remarked on how healthy she is. Thank you again for all the wonderful work you’ve done raising her from a newborn!!
I thought you might get a kick out of this one!! Dakota continues to be a little “superstar”, what a great little dog she is. Take care.
In 2 more weeks she will be a successful graduate of Basic Obedience Training. She is so smart ……. catches on to every new trick or command in short order. The only thing I don’t really push is the proper leash walking as I like to use a long extendable leash so she gets lots of exercise. She is doing very well and I hope her siblings are doing as well as she is. Funny, I remember when I was first trying to decide on a dog I wanted a puppy that would be around 10 pounds full grown. My little Dakota is now 14 pounds but I actually think the bigger size is better. She is a tough little girl with tons of energy and we have a lot of fun together. She is now totally accustomed to kayak trips and bike rides!! Many more adventures to come. Just thought I would send this as a quick update to let you know how well she is doing.
Going into week 3 and Dakota has settled in nicely. Your litter box training of the pups was awesome, she uses her litter box and easily transitioned into doing her business when we are outside….she is an extremely smart and talented little dog and everybody, especially me, loves her to bits. Just wanted to let you know that she is doing fabulous and having lots of fun in her new forever home.
Theresa
Just a quick note to advise that I had my vet check her out and little Dakota is the picture of health and the entire vet clinic has fallen in love with her so she will receive awesome treatment during any visits. Hope the rest of her siblings transitioned as well as she did.

Hi Corinne and Mike, Lolli is doing great! She is fitting right in with our family. She is a big ball of energy which suits the boys just fine! Skookum loves her and is protecting her now. He won’t go outside without her! He occasionally tells her he has had enough!! We are at our cabin in Sechelt now. She went on her first boat ride yesterday. She loved it! She has her own life jacket and didn’t mind wearing it. Thank you for letting us have her.
We couldn’t imagine our life without her! She follows me around like a shadow. She is always at my feet (either on them or right beside me)!! She is such a good companion! Thank you! Michelle, Mike, Dominic and Wyatt
Dear Corrine and Mike,
Our lives have been forever changed. We love him so much. Let me tell you all of the things that he’s been up to in his short time with us already!
He is the most gentle and sweet dog that we’ve ever seen. We probably say we love you 100 times a day to him. I confess that my original intent was no dog on the couch, but three weeks into this adventure, the best thing is dog being invited onto the couch!
He rarely barks except to inform us that someone is outside. And his favourite thing is definitely to show lots of affection. He loves all toys that are squeaky. And will fetch and return them on a moments notice. So far he has learned all sorts of commands, including set, down, leave it, and he is doing almost all of his business outside. So far he has learned all sorts of commands, including set, down, leave it, and he is doing almost all of his business outside. He’s sometimes a little afraid of all the city noises, but we’re working on it. We live on a street that is one street away from a very major one, so we are rewarding him with treats every time he has a truck or a big car. (When he hears it he sits down and won’t budge!) But he’s happiest whenever we take him to the woods or to a park with a path, so we try to do that all the time and luckily we live close to some great outdoor areas in Burnaby. And our neighbours have a goldendoodle puppy and the two of them are becoming very good friends. Here’s a photo of him with Rudy, our best friends’ dog.
He’s gone to the vet for all the things, they say he’s on track - and is getting fixed on April 2nd.
He still has his kefir every morning! And he goes bananas for the sound of the freezer drawer which we can’t figure out! It’s not frozen blueberries or ice cubes !
This was the best decision ever and let us know if we can send you more info! He’s perfect!

Hi there, I thought I would do a quick update. Mabel is doing amazing and she is so much fun. The grandchildren adore her and help with her training, feeding and poop patrol when they are with us. Mabel and I have been taking clicker classes and that is great, she just got her CGC title. I will include a couple of photos. The wildflowers are blooming and she had fun running in them.

Corinne and Mike,
Just a quick update about our girl. Mabel is doing well and I thank you every day for such a sweet puppy. She spent over two weeks on the boat with us and did fabulous. She was a little nervous at first getting used to all the new noises and smells and also learning what to do when we are busy docking. She charmed the men at the locks when we went into Lake Union in Seattle, they even threw her a milk bone as she stood watch on the bow (I broke off a small piece and threw the rest away??). She was so good for us, using her litter box when needed and letting us know she had to go. She completely won Mike over on this trip.
I wanted to let you know that Mabel had her spay yesterday and she is sporting her post-op attire! My daughter thought she needed something spunky for her recovery and this eliminates the “lampshade”, as we call it. I do not have an actual spay certificate but I can send a copy of my bill if you require any proof. She is doing well, but keeping this active pup quiet for 10 days will be a real challenge!
As you can see we keep her trimmed fairly short, this fits in with our lifestyle better than the longer look. It keeps her cleaner when we hike and easier to dry after a rainy walk when we are on the boat. We get stopped everywhere with people commenting on how cute she is and what a wonderful color. I must say we are smitten. A couple of times while we were walking around in Victoria, Mike would wait outside with Mabel while I popped into a shop. Well all the young ladies would stop and ooh and ahh over Mabel, so Mike as decided she is a great “babe magnet”! ??
I have included some photos, the first is on the boat and the other two are her recovery suit.
I hope that all is well with you and that all your pups are doing great.
Warmest wishes,
Susie
Thank you so much for reassuring us that Zuchon's are a wonderful addition to a family with a larger dog - they couldn't be a better match for each other. They play together, sleep together, eat together
Hi Corinne and Mike
First - I have to apologize for the late update on our fabulous little puppy, Smudge!! We absolutely love her and so does her big sister Luna (who, by the way, still cleans Smudge's face twice a day).
She is healthy, happy and loved….
We were concerned about getting a small dog because of our VERY energetic portuguese water dog, Luna…we thought Luna might squish her or think of her as a play toy! Thank you so much for reassuring us that Zuchon's are a wonderful addition to a family with a larger dog - they couldn't be a better match for each other. They play together, sleep together, eat together and even poop at pretty much the same moment…lol …TRUE!! Smudge can be assured of having a very thorough ''signature facial by Luna", every morning and evening …and Luna can be assured of having her head pounced on by Smudge whenever she is in a deep sleep. Nickolas is in bliss now that he has a smaller dog to play with …he plays fetch with her and talks with her like she's his little baby…she loves it! He seems to be paying more attention to Luna now also, as I think Smudge has given him the confidence he needed to become higher up on the hierarchy list :). I often catch Greg snuggling up with his Smudgy - he has given up hiding the fact that he has a huge soft spot for her!! Tough guy - I think not. She fit in to our family immediately. There was no integration time - amazing - as if she has been with us for years. We took both Luna and Smudge sailing with us for 3 weeks up to Desolation Sound etc and she was a natural ! So easy on the boat and she loved running around the islands, digging in the dirt and sand and swimming….I could go on and on and on, but I think I've made my point! Thank you so much for letting Smudge join our family…we can't imagine life without her :)
I am sending along some pictures.

BrothersBumper & Axel are now 9 years old!
They have bought so much joy to our lives!
Hello Corinne & Mike, Can’t believe these little guys are going to be 5 yrs old Feb 6 2018. They have bought so much joy to our lives. Nicole and Dave.
Hello
Just dropping you a quick line to let you guys know we love our new mommy and daddy. We did our first big road trip from Fort St John to Whitehorse thanksgiving week. Our mommy purchases us are own heated car seats and we love them. Beside going to the vet to have a surgical procedure all is good. Our daddy isn't to cool with the plans that mommy has made for remembrance day long weekend we are going on a plane to Vancouver for 5 days, mommy has booked us at a day care during the days hoping this will make us tired so that we don't trash the hotel room, since mommy stays at this hotel all the time. Daddy keeps saying we should stay home with our babysitter, but mommy keeps saying to daddy this our new family and we all going. Well must run as it's seems to be bath day today. Not really liking that but mommy keeps saying if you wish to continue sleeping on her pillow at night we need to be clean. Chat to you later

This is a picture of my beautiful, bright and oh so funny, Ollie.
Hello there. My little Ollie will be 5 on February 8. He is absolutely the hit of the Seawalk and people often stop me to ask me what kind of dog he is (just happened this morning). He is everything you describe and more. He is absolutely my baby and he is so intelligent. He is so easy going. I have young grandchildren and once in a while someone will grab a handful of fur and skin and pull and he just looks at them and has a very low growl. I have never worried about him biting them. He is a real snuggle bug and intuitively goes on people's laps when they are sad. He loves to play and is really easy to tire out because all I have to do is pretend to chase him and he runs full bore all over the place. He is still litter trained (which is perfect for me because I have health issues) I am so grateful my husband found your website.
Hi Corinne,
Yes - the children named the boys. Ajay is now 'Tiger' (we all want to say Tigger but get corrected) and my son named Butters 'Wunjo' (runic Norwegian for 'joy'. They had their second immunization on Saturday and today had a morning at the groomers - a lovely lady who runs a home based grooming studio and gives tons of one on one affection and attention. (I do miss the 'woolly bear' look --- but it will be easier for the summer ---) She gave accolades to your gift of loving socialization of the puppies!!!! She has never met five month old's so well adjusted. 'We won the puppy lottery' is how she put it. I agree.
We have some sunshine but the boys are too tuckered out to enjoy it right now. Big days :) Soon we can take them out to meet more of the big wide world.
Thanks for your support, Corinne
Thanks so much Corinne,
Each day they are getting more and more settled in. I keep thinking how wonderful it is they are together! They love to cuddle and play together in ways that we could not fulfill. My son is in the garden right now and they are bursting with energetic play. They love to play outside and I have spent the better part of yesterday 'fixing' the twig problem. Found the 'offending' shrub and fenced it off from the boys - should make transitions easier for them!
... now I just have to fix the 'muddy places' .... they do love to splash and roll - head to toe. They are truly lovely and so much fun. Soooooo funny about the black berries bushes! Thought this might be more of a puppy situation with their finer hair. Will look into getting puppy cuts (the kids will complain - they love the furry little muff ball look ... but it will grow back:)
Appreciate your support.
Corinne :)

Subject: Wunjo and Tiger's day
Hi Corrine,
Here are notes from the boys. They both had a great time today.
Tiger : "I had a great day. I was super happy to be at the lounge and to see my friends. I started off running around with Wunjo but it didn't take me long to start playing with my friends ony own!!! I played with Louize (a very pretty and fun pug) first then with Hunter (a Scottie cross) and then Wilson (another scottie cross). I also played with Tank (another pug) and Roxy (a rat terrier). I did play with Wunjo for a bit when he was playing with our friends. I did well and had a wonderful time! Thanks for taking me to the lounge!"
Wunjo: "I had a great day as well! I was super happy to see my friends and started playing with them as soon as I got in. Felicia calls Mr. Social because I played with every single doggie at the lounge! Everyone wanted to play with me so I played! I even played with a golden retriever named Millie. She is super sweet and loves little dog. I had a wonderful time. Thanks for taking me to the lounge!"
Have a great week! Hope to see the boys next Tuesday!
Cheers, Felicia
