We have 18 years of on-going references from our families all around the world from Vancouver B.C Canada, Calgary, Edmonton Alberta to as far away as Toronto, Miami, Palm Springs, Italy and Singapore.
Dear Corrine and Mike,
Our lives have been forever changed. We love him so much. Let me tell you all of the things that he’s been up to in his short time with us already!
He is the most gentle and sweet dog that we’ve ever seen. We probably say we love you 100 times a day to him. I confess that my original intent was no dog on the couch, but three weeks into this adventure, the best thing is dog being invited onto the couch!
He rarely barks except to inform us that someone is outside. And his favourite thing is definitely to show lots of affection. He loves all toys that are squeaky. And will fetch and return them on a moments notice. So far he has learned all sorts of commands, including set, down, leave it, and he is doing almost all of his business outside. So far he has learned all sorts of commands, including set, down, leave it, and he is doing almost all of his business outside. He’s sometimes a little afraid of all the city noises, but we’re working on it. We live on a street that is one street away from a very major one, so we are rewarding him with treats every time he has a truck or a big car. (When he hears it he sits down and won’t budge!) But he’s happiest whenever we take him to the woods or to a park with a path, so we try to do that all the time and luckily we live close to some great outdoor areas in Burnaby. And our neighbours have a goldendoodle puppy and the two of them are becoming very good friends. Here’s a photo of him with Rudy, our best friends’ dog.
He’s gone to the vet for all the things, they say he’s on track - and is getting fixed on April 2nd.
He still has his kefir every morning! And he goes bananas for the sound of the freezer drawer which we can’t figure out! It’s not frozen blueberries or ice cubes !
This was the best decision ever and let us know if we can send you more info! He’s perfect!

Just some pictures of Toffee and a Happy New Year. Toffee is a handsome boy and so fun loving and smart! I know you breed shichons but letting them go when they go to a new owner must be so hard! I wanted to send you photos because these pics are so cute of your pups!!!!
Take care! Maureen & Jamie
I’ve been meaning to send you an email to give you an update on Toffee. I can’t believe he’s a year. He’s the loveliest dog. Toffee has brought so much giggles into our lives. He’s popular, well loved, good natured, friendly, sweet and I can go on and on. Please, if you EVER come out to the city, email us. I wish you and Mike could see how much of a good pup he is. But then again, you already know because you bred them. But I’m biased. I think he’s the best Zuchon in the world! Here is a recent summer video of Toffee going back to his roots like his parents! Take care! Maureen

Hello Corrine and Mike, I hope you and your fur family are well.
Just wanted to give you an update on our little Toffee. He’s sassy, comical, obedient one minute, mellow and low key the next minute. He has matured these past few weeks. I can see that he looks like a mix of both Jumba and Zeva .Toffee is almost 7 months! He’s almost 12 pounds. He was neutered about three weeks ago. He was such a trooper! He was sad the day we picked him up after his surgery, but he perked up right away the next day. He’s fully housetrained now but we leave the litter box out just in case. He never uses it much anymore. He can ring the bell hanging on our patio door to indicate that he needs to go do his business outside. We have a wonderful relationship with our dog trainer/walker/sitter. Isabel our trainer takes Toffee out twice a week at off leash parks and beaches. where Toffee can run and spar with other dogs in his pack. Toffee used to be the youngest pup in his pack, but since then, new pups have arrived and Toffee puts them in their place! I’ll send you more photos. We’ve switched Toffee from Kibble to Real Raw diets. We do a combination of freezed dried grand cru kibble and raw paddies containing meat, tendons and bones. We still give him his probiotics every morning. Toffee gobbles it up right away. We think raw is the way to go for dogs as we’ve seen, he was getting bored of the kibble. I know that you probably think about your dogs everyday. But I really wanted to update you on the progress of our little guy. Toffee has brought so much joy into our lives! Here are some pictures and videos of Toffee running with his pack!
We are so thrilled with Lolli - I am happy to give a reference any time!! She has the best personality I have ever had in a dog. We adore her! Michelle
Hi Corinne and Mike,
Lolli is doing great! She is fitting right in with our family. She is a big ball of energy which suits the boys just fine! Skookum loves her and is protecting her now. He won’t go outside without her! He occasionally tells her he has had enough!! We are at our cabin in Sechelt now. She went on her first boat ride yesterday. She loved it! She has her own life jacket and didn’t mind wearing it. Thank you for letting us have her. We couldn’t imagine our life without her! She follows me around like a shadow. She is always at my feet (either on them or right beside me)!! She is such a good companion!

In 2 more weeks she will be a successful graduate of Basic Obedience Training. She is so smart ……. catches on to every new trick or command in short order. The only thing I don’t really push is the proper leash walking as I like to use a long extendable leash so she gets lots of exercise. She is doing very well and I hope her siblings are doing as well as she is. Funny, I remember when I was first trying to decide on a dog I wanted a puppy that would be around 10 pounds full grown. My little Dakota is now 14 pounds but I actually think the bigger size is better. She is a tough little girl with tons of energy and we have a lot of fun together. She is now totally accustomed to kayak trips and bike rides!! Many more adventures to come. Just thought I would send this as a quick update to let you know how well she is doing.
Going into week 3 and Dakota has settled in nicely. Your litter box training of the pups was awesome, she uses her litter box and easily transitioned into doing her business when we are outside….she is an extremely smart and talented little dog and everybody, especially me, loves her to bits. Just wanted to let you know that she is doing fabulous and having lots of fun in her new forever home.
Just a quick note to advise that I had my vet check her out and little Dakota is the picture of health and the entire vet clinic has fallen in love with her so she will receive awesome treatment during any visits. Hope the rest of her siblings transitioned as well as she did.
