We have 18 years of on-going references from our families all around the world from Vancouver B.C Canada, Calgary, Edmonton Alberta to as far away as Toronto, Miami, Palm Springs, Italy and Singapore.
Hi Mike and Corinne, Just a quick update. Ollie is doing so well! He's eating kefir (like crazy) and kibble. And he loves the little treats you sent with him. He's sleeping a lot (loves his crate) and slept through the night last night. We are completely blown away with his litter box training -- we set up a small box with pine pellets just as you instructed and he has been using it regularly on his own since we brought him home. He's starting to come out of his shell and absolutely adores our 8 year old daughter. He's so calm and happy in her arms, which is wonderful. He plays up a storm with her and kisses her all over. He's warmed up to her more than us at this point, and we're perfectly happy with that. He loves his toys, particularly the chewie stuffy. His safe zone is our kitchen and he's been very brave, exploring the area. He spent some time today crying/whimpering, obviously misses his pack, but as soon as our daughter came home from school his whole mood changed! We couldn't be more delighted with his progress so far. We can tell already that he's the perfect little man for our family. I'll continue to update you.
Hi Corinne and Mike, Just wanted to give you a little update on Ollie. He is growing into the best little guy and we love him to bits! He's now 4 months old and has received all of his shots. He's growing quickly, but he's still super small -- he's now just over 5lbs. He loves his food and is very treat oriented which makes training a breeze. We've done a lot of socialization and training, and it's really paid off -- he knows how to sit, lie down, stay, and he walks on his leash very well. He's just the most chilled out little guy imaginable and we get comments all the time on his calmness. He loves every person, child, and dog he meets. He LOVES going to school with our daughter and getting mobbed by school children and he's also super fond of walks to the local coffee shop so he can meet new people. He's really gotten used to the routine around our house and revels in his laid back lifestyle. He's a great sleeper and lounger, and we think he'd rather choose to stay home than go for a walk most days. Here are some photos so you can see how he's grown.
Pasta is one of our ultra-rare Phantom coloured puppies!
Hello Corinne and Mike, I hope you are staying warm and enjoying these Arctic winds.
I wanted to give you a Pasta update. If you do not mind, I want to start at the beginning.
Eight days after we brought Pasta home, whenever she had to go to the bathroom, she learned to ring the bell at the door to go outside. What joy she has brought to all of my and Sonia’s family. My mom and dad have been dog sitting when we go to work, and Pasta is always so excited to see them. I want to make something clear here….my dad is the type of person that does not show affection and rarely laughs and smiles. Pasta has completely changed him!!! I have never seen my dad act the way he does when he sees her. The same goes for Pasta. Those two have such a special connection!
Pasta loves to cuddle and play. Sonia and I call her the supervisor as she follows us all around the house to make sure our tasks are being done correctly.
We know our neighbors but have met so many people that we have never spoken to before that live in North Burnaby because of her. They all stop for Pasta. Cars driving by stop and exit their car to see her. People have ended their calls, telling the person on the other line they have to call them back because they have just seen the cutest dog ever. Pasta is well known by everyone, including the Mail Carrier who has a special place in her heart for Pasta!!! We go for walks and people whom we have never seen before stop and say, “That must be Pasta”, or “Hello Pasta”. Saying that Pasta is popular is an understatement.
Yesterday we took Pasta to the vet to get spay on Tuesday. We were so worried when bringing her in, and so upset to see how she was when we took her home. My father came to visit her and only then did she get up to see him. My wife took the day off and on Wednesday she was back to her old self.
I mentioned that she has brought so much love and joy to everyone in my family, and that too is such an understatement. Sonia and I have our parents, nephews, nieces, siblings, cousins, friends, and neighbors calling to see how she is doing and asking for updates and funny stories every day.
So sorry for the essay!
I hope you are both safe and doing well, and I wanted to thank you so much for making my family happy, and Sonia and I the happiest and luckiest people.
Just a note to say how much we have enjoyed and appreciated dealing with you folks all the way through the process of acquiring Benji. We found you after a google search and were attracted by the professionalism of your website and approach.
We have not been disappointed. You have demonstrated professionalism, caring, outstanding communication and attention to detail every step of the way even including his bag of extras that came with him. Congratulations on building such an exemplary business.
We are excited to have Benji with us and look forward to many years of great companionship and good times.
Thank you, Peter and June
Everything is going really well with Sir Benji. Everybody absolutely loves him! We are amazed at how disciplined he is about using the litter box, right from when he first arrived. We don't know how you do this training but kudos to you folks.
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that Max is doing great! We love having him as part of our family. He’s got a best friend, Zac, who is just a couple months older and they have lots of play time. He has been to the beach a couple times and loves running in the mucky sand! He loves to meet people and dogs when we go outside. Everyone says he’s so calm for a puppy. And the cutest dog ever. He loves to wrestle and play at the park with a few dog friends in the neighbourhood. I’m including a video of him playing with my in-laws 10-month-old whippet cross. Hope all the puppies are doing well. Take care, Jackie
Hi Corinne and Mike. Max is such a delight. He used his litter box as soon as he got home and drank his kefir and even had a few kibbles. Right at home. He’s busy investigating our home and snuggling and playing with the girls. He’s blurry in all our photos because he’s moving so fast. 😂 Thanks for taking such good care of him for us!Jackie
Christmas magic - Ollie at home loving his amazing new family. Another perfect match!
So, I am soooo in love. Ollie has adapted so well. The first 2 days were hard for the little fella, but the morning of Day 3, Christmas it was like he came to life. I have taken him everywhere with me and makes all my outings that much funner. The puppy was for my kids, but really, Ollie is my little bear. I just have a question, I am amazed at his skills so far and wondered if there were training words you use so we don't loss the work you have done. First of all, going for walks, he heels! Both Spence and I are shocked at that. But wondered what the commands are? Heel? Go? Stop? And for pee pee, I find that Ollie holds it. I take him on many walks a day, we run around and nothing. When he finally goes, its a super long pee. Is there a command? Maybe still adapting faze. He does not use the litter or the pee pads at all, which is fine bc we go for so many walks. e doesn't eat much still, not much kefir or water, but he is little and I am keeping a watchful eye. That is all. He is such a great pup, so full of love. My kids are wild about him, but I keep them at a distance still bc their energy is so high, but he seems very drawn to them.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday!
Chantal & Ollie
And a Happy New Year 2021!
I have been meaning forever to send you holiday updates of our little Toffee man. Fun, comical, bichon buzzed, loving…you name it, he has it! I just wanted to share a reference for all potential dog owners that this is probably one of the best mixed breeds for families! I can’t believe they’re not in the forefront for a ZUCHON Kennel Club! We are so glad we purchased Toffee in 2018 before this pandemic hit. Now I’m sure you’re inundated with emails and applications! If you’re ever coming to the city, please call or email us. I’d love for you and Mike to see one of your extended family members! Take care!

Our Zuchons have the most amazing, calm and balanced temperament.
Hello Corrine and Mike, I hope you and your fur family are well.
Just wanted to give you an update on our little Toffee. He’s sassy, comical, obedient one minute, mellow and low key the next minute. He has matured these past few weeks. I can see that he looks like a mix of both Jumba and Zeva .Toffee is almost 7 months! He’s almost 12 pounds. He was neutered about three weeks ago. He was such a trooper! He was sad the day we picked him up after his surgery, but he perked up right away the next day. He’s fully housetrained now but we leave the litter box out just in case. He never uses it much anymore. He can ring the bell hanging on our patio door to indicate that he needs to go do his business outside. We have a wonderful relationship with our dog trainer/walker/sitter. Isabel our trainer takes Toffee out twice a week at off leash parks and beaches. where Toffee can run and spar with other dogs in his pack. Toffee used to be the youngest pup in his pack, but since then, new pups have arrived and Toffee puts them in their place! I’ll send you more photos. We’ve switched Toffee from Kibble to Real Raw diets. We do a combination of freezed dried grand cru kibble and raw paddies containing meat, tendons and bones. We still give him his probiotics every morning. Toffee gobbles it up right away. We think raw is the way to go for dogs as we’ve seen, he was getting bored of the kibble. I know that you probably think about your dogs everyday. But I really wanted to update you on the progress of our little guy. Toffee has brought so much joy into our lives! Here are some pictures and videos of Toffee running with his pack!
